About me
Hi, I’m Kaela — a certified personal trainer dedicated to helping people move better, feel stronger, and build confidence through smart, purposeful training. I earned my Certified Personal Trainer credential through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) in 2023 and have been coaching ever since.
My love for movement began early. I grew up riding my bike alongside my mom and aunt, spending hours outdoors talking, exploring, and discovering how empowering it felt to move under my own strength. Those simple moments shaped my appreciation for physical activity and planted the seeds for the career I have today.
As I got older, running became my next chapter. I didn’t understand the science at the time, but I felt firsthand how movement and endorphins could shift my mood, energy, and confidence. That period became the foundation for my later pursuits in fitness and wellness.
My introduction to weight training came a little later, after my brother encouraged us to join our local YMCA. Like many people, I initially felt intimidated by the free-weight area — the racks, the barbells, and the people who seemed to know exactly what they were doing. So I started with machines, slowly building confidence, friendships, and a genuine love for strength training.
Everything changed when a trainer named Justin encouraged me to join a circuit class and eventually try personal training myself. He taught me proper lifting techniques, how to strengthen underactive muscles, how to track my workouts, and, most importantly, how to prioritize form and body awareness. He removed the fear from the barbell and opened a door that would eventually become my career path.
Throughout my own fitness journey, I’ve also faced setbacks. I first injured my knee during a skiing incident and later caused further damage while sparring in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. After undergoing ACL and meniscus surgery, I learned firsthand the importance of committing to physical therapy, respecting the healing process, and adapting training to support recovery. That period forced me to explore new ways to stay connected to movement, but it also taught me how patience, consistency, and dedication can help you overcome both physical and mental challenges. While it was a difficult chapter, it also gave me space to reconnect with other hobbies and parts of my life that bring me joy.
Over the years, I’ve lived in different places, joined many gyms, and been part of several fitness communities — each of which holds a special place in my heart. No matter where I was, movement remained a constant. Running became a way to explore new environments, and the gym became a space for challenge, growth, connection, and community.
Today, as a personal trainer, I bring all of those experiences — the early inspiration, the mentorship, the setbacks, and the resilience — into the way I coach. My training style blends strength work, mobility training, and evidence-based programming to help clients improve performance, enhance daily movement, and build long-term resilience. Every program is tailored to the individual, with a focus on form, functional movement, and sustainable progress.
